In project 3, I focused on simplifying the YouTube experience with regards to quickly controlling the video that is being watched rather than a user searching/guessing video controls. When this occurs, the user becomes distracted from the video they’re watching because they can’t figure out how to remove the ads, pause the video, adjust the volume easily, comment on the video, etc. This can also be described as the mental model. On the other hand, the implementation model contrasts with the mental model in the product’s ease of use because it focuses on “fun” features rather than meeting the users needs.
