My team redesigned the search function on the Wii YouTube App.The user's mental model for the search is that everything will be very simple, and there will be easy to understand metaphors for every action. For example, searching through videos or channels will visually to the user be like flipping through folder tabs.
The implementation model would look a bit different. It might let the user have more options than they really need to get the search done efficiently, like being able to change the folder tabs to just two separate listings on the same page. The user would not likely not use the tool, but would spend the time figuring out that the option exists.
