On Project #3, my group decided to revise the comments section of YouTube to make it so that the comments were ordered not by time since posting as they are now, but rather by user input. If a comment is seen as useful or important by users, then that comment and the comments/discussion stemming from it will be closer to the top of the comment list by clicking a plus sign next to it, and vice versa. If a comment is seen as unhelpful by enough people, it will be sent farther down the list by users clicking a minus sign. This system is very similar to the "upvotes" and "downvotes" used on Reddit.
If we had to cut something from the design, we would probably use the 60-Second Deadline. This would be the most useful because there are many small details that could potentially be cut without harming the design as a whole, and that seems like a good way to get most of these features to our attention quickly so we could decide what didn't need to be there. The "load more comments" option would most likely get cut first. It seems much more efficient to just load all of the responses to a comment at once.
