I think the unnecessary test would be a great tool rid some of the clutter on YouTube. Youtube is over complicated and too social of a website. If I had to get rid of features on Youtube, I would get rid of the comment system. With places like reddit, facebook, and twitter, where there are comment systems and the ability to share videos having a youtube comment system seems to be redundant. Not to mention youtube comment culture is horrible. The site still functions with a more core focus on videos like it was intended. I think having core dedicated sites that offer minimal functions but work with each other is the right step for the web.
