The user may have good points, but how can they always be correct? A user may have complaints or things that they wish to add to a product, but adding that feature or fixing a problem may lead to more issues within the product. Or the issue they are bringing up is one that only applies to a small portion of the users of the product and redesigning the product may be ridiculous since it only applies to one person.

A user centered focus is a good idea, but making something user centered may not be the best way to go about creating a new product. The user is important because they need to be able to actually use the product, but the product has to also be useful and properly perform its tasks. So if there is a larger user centered design process, then there also needs to be a product centered one. However I think an even bigger interactive design process is overshadowing both, or it should be.
