HELP systems are typically very detail oriented step-by-step directions that are commonly available to people when using any form of technology. People often times struggle when using technology especially when it's for the first time. Despite the struggle people have with technology the HELP systems are often times overlooked and not utilized due to the availability of information circulating the internet. It is apparent that people are not willing to skim through all the information HELP systems have to offer but rather look at isolated situations in which they can learn from.
In Project #5, I believe the most relevant category of people to choose from are the hardcore fans that are avid comic book readers and know the superheroes down to the last detail. These are the people that would be the most particular about any changes made to their favorite superheroes/villains so if you can please this group you would have a better chance of pleasing the general population.

ReplyDeleteI agree that the HELP systems are typically very detail oriented, however the HELP systems also allow none beginners learn more details about the software and what the software is actually capable of doing. Also the HELP systems have search engines to help narrow down exactly what they are looking to find help with.
