I think the users mental model prior to using my model for youtube was that choosing a new video was something that took time to do and it took some effort and was not instant. With my model I believe that the user's mental model turned to seeing the system as a feature that allowed randomness and a way for them to be efficiently lazy.
The programmers model will differ because it will have random number generators and ways to move the box around videos. It will also have to have some way to recognize what time the video ends. they may have to incorporate a new function into the video player that activates as a way for them to
