I think amazon on the surface, is obvious design. When you first arrive at the webpage, you are greeted with products. From there it is fairly easy to see that this site is about purchasing products. The search bar is at the top, so it easy to just search for a product, and on the left side you can drill down in departments to find exactly what you are looking for. While amazon as a shopping website is fairly straight forward, amazon offers more services than many suspect, and that is not at all obvious design.
